DUI and DMV 101

Facing criminal charges and a loss of driving privileges can be scary. Under the "DUI" menu, learn the general information you need to know about a DUI arrest.  A DUI charge is something to take very seriously, because it can have severe consequences and impact on your future.  The penalty for a first time charge ranges from suspended driver's license, fines, and alcohol abuse classes, to up to 6 months in jail.  A conviction stays on your record for 10 years. For second, third or fourth DUI charges, the penalties increase.

Do not assume if you were tested above the legal blood alcohol limit that your case is already lost.  Ms. Eriksen may be able to obtain an exoneration, or have the charges reduced or dismissed.
